Animations
Animations are not just for special effects in movies. Animations used in business and industry are usually used in activities like complex medical procedures, forensic analysis, historic site preservation, museum artifacts, military operations and other situations where the experts want to “virtually act it out” before going live. These kinds of visualizations require dimensional accuracy and true-to-life authenticity.
We focus on 3D scanning and modeling like these, where the quality of the models is critical. These situations require accuracy and authenticity, which scanning provides, so the objects in the animations look as real as possible. Often real colors and textures are captured and applied to provide even more realism.
Renderings
Rendering is the process of creating a still image from a 3D model. High-quality 2D renderings are often created from an existing 3D model that was originally captured for other purposes. These renderings can be used for graphic presentations, marketing, and websites. This application is particularly valuable in product marketing, where a new improved product has been created via reverse engineering. In this case, the 3D scanned file can be converted to a 2D rendering for advertisement purposes. Often this saves the time and money required for photo shoots of the product.
